OPEN DECKS
Sign up for a slot at tonight's open decks.
How to use this page
For organizers
- One-time setup (about 2 minutes, only needed once ever): go to
console.firebase.google.com, create a free project, open Realtime Database and click Create. Copy the database URL it gives you (looks likehttps://your-project-default-rtdb.firebaseio.com). Open the Rules tab, set both.readand.writetotrue, and Publish — otherwise access expires after 30 days. Then paste the URL into the Backend connection box below (no code editing needed). - Before your event, type an event name below and tap Start new event. That creates a fresh shared queue.
- Copy the shareable link that appears and send it to DJs — they'll only see the signup form and their own confirmation, nothing else on this page.
- When it's time to fill the open deck slot, tap Draw a winner — it randomly selects one signed-up DJ to play. Call their name when you're ready for them to prep.
- Check Event history to pull up the roster from any past event, any time, from any device.
For DJs
- Fill out the form below with your name, contact, and genre.
- Tap Claim my slot — you'll get a confirmation with your entry number. Signing up enters you into the draw; it doesn't guarantee a slot.
- If you're selected, the organizer will call your name to come prep for your set — keep an eye and an ear out.
Backend connection
Paste your Firebase database URL here once — right in the page, no code editing. This device remembers it, and it travels automatically inside every event link you share, so DJs and any co-organizer using your link never have to touch this.
